Queer AmericaI don't know about you, but I don't remember learning stories of prominent queer figures in school. Like, ever. Thankfully, we have Queer America to fill in the gaps. It covers everything from the effect WWII had on the queer community, to the Stonewall riots in the '60s, to how modern classrooms can be more LGBTQ+ inclusive.

Making Gay HistoryThis is another REALLY good historical podcast that's so interesting even the people who didn't love history class will love it. Every episode highlights a different important person in LGBTQ+ history, like a Navy captain in 1975 who tried to fight the military’s ban on homosexuals, or Edythe Eyde, who in the 1940's published the first-ever magazine for lesbians.

EarwolfYou probably know Jonathan Van Ness and his legit endless energy from Queer Eye, but if you haven't check out Getting Curious, then you're seriously depriving yourself of some top-notch JVN content. Every week there's a different expert guest on the show to answer questions on a topic that JVN is interested in. It covers everything from how we can do better on trans rights, to how to be a better cat parent, to why we need a Green New Deal. And let me just say, this is the one podcast where I never want to skip through the ads, because I could listen to JVN hilariously read them all day.

The New York TimesA culture podcast form the perspective of two Black queer journalists is exactly the kind of content we need more of. Jenna Wortham and Wesley Morris have some super insightful convos on "Still Processing," both between themselves and with guests, about everything from art, to dating, to current events. I can pretty much guarantee you'll feel smarter after listening to them.

Adventures in Time & GenderGet ready! You're about to time travel in this three-part drama series podcast that introduces you to some of the most important trans folx in history. The goal of this podcast was to help people understand that trans people have always existed (duh), and TBH, this should be required listening.

Every Tuesday, Julie and Brandy talk about all things politics as if it's an episode of Real Housewives. And I mean, with the sass that exists in Washington, who can blame them? Hello, Nancy Pelosi's slow clap. You can go back and listen to all of their thoughts on the past four years of craziness, or just listen to their most recent episode to hear their musings on JoJo and KiKi (aka Joe Biden and Kamala Harris).

PsychobabbleIf there's one podcast you definitely shouldn't listen to in public it's Psychobabble, because when I tell you that some of the sh*t that comes out of these boys' mouths will have you laughing like a crazy person, I mean it. It's hosted by Tyler Oakley, who you may recognize from his Youtube channel, and his good friend Korey Kuhl. Every week they give you the low-down on everything pop culture. It feels like listening to two of your funniest friends gossip for an hour.
14"LGBTQ&A"
LGBTQ&AIf you're looking for a podcast that's snagging interviews with all the big LGBTQ+ names, it's this one. It launched a few years ago and just last year partnered up with GLAAD, and in that time they've had on people like Pete Buttigieg, Laverne Cox, Lili Reinhart, and Roxane Gay, who all share their own personal life experiences.
